Therapy For Adults

Affirming support to help you navigate the uncertainty, stress, and concerns that arise across the life span

Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling, with the mistaken belief that you can not bear the pain. But you have already borne the pain. What you have not done is feel all you are beyond that pain.

Depression

Chronic or intense sadness or hopelessness can make it difficult to get out of bed in the morning, let alone go about the rest of your day. During treatment, I’ll support you as you explore past wounds and trauma, thought patterns, and views of yourself that impact your well-being. We’ll face depression together.

Anxiety

Ongoing worrying or panic can steal your peace and joy. Anxiety impacts your physical and emotional health, as well as your relationships. Finding relief is possible. In therapy, we can address the roots of fear, process emotions, and strengthen your coping strategies.

Life Transitions

Major changes can be overwhelming to sort through on your own. Shifts in your career, education, relationships, living situations, or health can lead to stress, grief, uncertainty, or anxiety. In therapy, I’ll support you as you process these transitions and your responses, and find clarity.

Complex PTSD

Enduring recurring or long-term trauma, such as childhood abuse, domestic violence, or sexual abuse, negatively affects your self-concept, sense of safety, and relationships. Therapy offers the space to safely process your experiences and emotions, and move toward the positive changes you want in your life.

Childhood Trauma

The effects of harm suffered in childhood may have changed how you navigate the world in adulthood. This might show up as low self-worth, difficulties with relationships, depression, or anxiety. Effective trauma therapy can help you address painful memories, explore and accept your emotions, and heal your relationship with yourself and others.

Relationship concerns

Improving your relationships may involve exploring your boundaries, developing healthy communication and coping skills, as well as examining patterns. You deserve healthy and respectful relationships, and I’ll support you as you determine what that looks like for you.
